Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz aged cheddar
  • 4 oz soft goat cheese log
  • 6 oz smoked gouda
  • 4 oz prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz Genoa salami, sliced
  • 6–8 fresh figs, halved
  • 2 green apples (Granny Smith), sliced
  • 1 cup red seedless grapes, small clusters
  • ½ cup dried apricots
  • ½ cup candied pecans
  • 1 box fig crackers
  • 1 baguette, sliced and lightly toasted
  • Honey for drizzling
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish
  • Sea salt flakes for finishing

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients: Wash and dry all fruits. Halve the figs, slice the apples (toss in lemon water to prevent browning), and pull grapes into small clusters. Slice baguette into ½-inch rounds and lightly toast if desired. Unwrap cheeses and let sit at room temperature.
  2. Place small bowls or ramekins on the board first as anchors. Fill one with honey, one with dried apricots. Position in a triangle pattern.
  3. Place the three cheeses around the board, spreading them out evenly. Cut a few slices of cheddar and gouda in advance to show how to eat them.
  4. Fold prosciutto slices into loose ribbons and arrange in a swooping line across the board. Place salami slices in a small overlapping pile nearby, fanned out slightly.
  5. Tuck fig halves in small clusters around the board. Place apple slices in a fan pattern near the gouda. Scatter grape clusters in empty spaces, filling all gaps.
  6. Sprinkle candied pecans in 3-4 small piles around the board. Arrange fig crackers in a line or fan pattern. Place baguette slices in a small stack near the edge.
  7. Drizzle honey over goat cheese in a zigzag pattern. Tuck fresh rosemary sprigs between cheeses and fruits. Sprinkle sea salt flakes over the entire board.

Notes

Take cheeses out of fridge 30 minutes before assembling for best flavor. Don’t overcrowd the board – leave about an inch between ingredients. Can be assembled up to 4 hours in advance, covered loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerated. Remove 20 minutes before serving. For vegetarian version, skip meats and add marinated artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, and olives. For gluten-free, use gluten-free crackers or rice cakes instead of baguette and fig crackers.
