A playful and healthy fall snack that mimics the iconic candy corn shape using fresh fruit, served with a creamy yogurt dip. Perfect for Halloween parties, Thanksgiving appetizers, or cozy evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 45 mandarin oranges or clementines, peeled and separated into segments
  • 2 cups fresh pineapple, cut into bite-sized chunks
  • 1 cup white grapes, washed and dried
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (recommend Fage or Chobani)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup for vegan)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: banana slices, apple slices (tossed in lemon juice), or pear slices

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry all fruit thoroughly. Peel mandarin oranges and separate into segments. Cut pineapple into 1-inch chunks. Pat grapes dry.
  2. In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt, honey, vanilla extract, cinnamon (if using), and a pinch of salt. Whisk until smooth. Refrigerate.
  3. Visualize a candy corn triangle on your serving platter: wide at top, tapering to a point at bottom.
  4. Arrange white grapes in a small cluster at the pointed end for the white tip.
  5. Place pineapple chunks next to grapes to form the yellow middle stripe, slightly wider than the grape tip.
  6. Arrange mandarin orange segments at the wide end for the orange base, fanning them out and overlapping slightly.
  7. Fill any gaps with extra fruit to create a solid triangle of color.
  8. Position the bowl of yogurt dip near the bottom or wide end of the candy corn.
  9. Optional: garnish with cinnamon or fresh mint leaves.
  10. Serve immediately or refrigerate. Best served within 1 hour of assembly.

Notes

Dry fruit thoroughly to prevent sliding. For a vegan version, use coconut yogurt and maple syrup. The dip tastes better after a few hours in the fridge. If fruit slides, place lettuce leaves or shredded coconut on the board first.
