A quick and easy 20-minute Halloween snack board featuring a creamy spiderweb dip, cured meats, cheeses, and spooky olive spiders. Perfect for cozy gatherings and movie nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Black food coloring (optional)
  • 8 oz salami, sliced
  • 6 oz prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz cheddar cheese, cut into cubes and slices
  • 8 oz gouda cheese, sliced
  • 1 cup grapes, red and green
  • 1 cup black olives, pitted
  • 1 cup crackers
  • 1/2 cup almonds or pecans
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (for web lines)
  • Squeeze bottle or piping bag

Instructions

  1. Make the Spiderweb Dip: In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, 1/2 cup sour cream, and ranch seasoning. Mix until smooth. Add black food coloring if desired. Add milk one tablespoon at a time until thick but pipeable. Transfer to a small serving bowl and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Sour Cream for the Web: In a small bowl, put the remaining 1/4 cup sour cream. If too thick, add a teaspoon of milk. Spoon into a squeeze bottle or ziplock bag with a tiny corner snipped off.
  3. Arrange the Board Base: Place the dip bowl in the center of a large wooden board or platter. Arrange cheese cubes and slices in clusters around the bowl at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions. Fold salami into roses or fan them out. Drape prosciutto in loose folds around the board.
  4. Fill in the Gaps: Add crackers in small stacks or fans. Scatter grapes and nuts in remaining spaces. Ensure every part of the board is covered but visible.
  5. Create the Spiderweb: Starting from the edge of the dip bowl, pipe straight lines out to the board edge like spokes (8 times). Then pipe curved lines connecting spokes, starting 1 inch from the bowl and moving outward.
  6. Add the Spiders: Place black olives strategically around the web. For legs, use thin pretzel sticks or rosemary sprigs (optional).
  7. Final Touches: Fill any bare spots with extra crackers or nuts. Add fresh rosemary sprigs for color. Serve immediately.

Notes

Let cream cheese soften for 30 minutes before making dip. For a spooky black dip, use gel food coloring. Practice web lines on a plate first. Avoid overcrowding the board. Store leftovers separately: dip in fridge for up to 3 days, crackers at room temperature.
