A fun and healthy Halloween snack featuring pear ghosts and a creamy yogurt dip. This easy fruit platter is perfect for parties and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2–3 pears (firm but ripe, such as Bosc or Anjou)
  • 2 bananas (slightly green)
  • 2 green apples (Granny Smith work best)
  • 1 cup red grapes (seedless)
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 cup blackberries
  • 1 cup strawberries (sliced)
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or 2%)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry all fruit thoroughly.
  2. In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt, honey, vanilla extract, and poppy seeds (if using). Stir until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  3. Squeeze lemon juice into a small bowl of cold water to create lemon water.
  4. Slice pears in half lengthwise, remove core, and cut into 1/4-inch thick slices. Dip each slice in lemon water, then pat dry.
  5. Use a ghost-shaped cookie cutter or a sharp knife to cut ghost shapes from pear slices. Cut two small holes for eyes and place a blueberry or blackberry in each.
  6. Slice bananas into 1/2-inch thick rounds. Dip in lemon water to prevent browning.
  7. Cut apples into thin slices (about 1/4-inch thick). Dip in lemon water.
  8. Slice strawberries into rounds or hearts. Rinse grapes and blueberries. Pat everything dry.
  9. Place the bowl of yogurt dip in the center of a serving platter. Arrange fruit ghosts around the bowl, then scatter apple slices, banana rounds, grapes, strawberries, and blackberries around.
  10. Adjust arrangement as needed. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate for up to 2 hours.

Notes

Use firm fruit for best results. Dip cut fruit in lemon water to prevent browning. Arrange ghosts facing outward for a fun presentation. The dip can be made a day ahead and stored in the fridge.
