  • 1 medium fresh peach, peeled and pureed (or frozen peach chunks)

  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) water
  • Optional: splash of milk or cream (dairy or plant-based)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Brown Sugar Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine 2 tablespoons of packed brown sugar with 1/4 cup (60 ml) of water. Heat gently over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves completely and the liquid thickens slightly (about 3-4 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. Puree the Peach: Peel and pit the fresh peach. Cut into chunks and blend in a blender or food processor until smooth (about 20-30 seconds). Add a tablespoon of water if a thinner consistency is desired. Set aside.
  3. Assemble the Drink: Fill a tall glass or mason jar with ice cubes. Pour in 1 cup (240 ml) of cold brew coffee over the ice. Add the cooled brown sugar syrup and 1/4 cup (60 ml) of fresh peach puree. Stir gently to combine.
  4. Optional Creaminess: Add a splash (about 2 tablespoons or 30 ml) of milk or cream if desired and stir gently.
  5. Taste and Adjust: Adjust sweetness or fruitiness by adding more syrup, peach puree, cold brew, or ice as preferred.
  6. Serve Immediately: Enjoy fresh while ice is solid and flavors are vibrant.

Notes

Let the brown sugar syrup cool completely before mixing to avoid curdling milk or altering cold brew smoothness. Use large ice cubes to prevent quick dilution. Ripe peaches are key for best flavor. Brown sugar syrup can be made ahead and refrigerated up to two weeks. Adjust sweetness and fruitiness to taste.
