Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Honeycrisp apples, thinly sliced
  • 2 Bosc pears, thinly sliced
  • 8–10 fresh figs, halved
  • 1 cup red seedless grapes, washed and left in small clusters
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 8 oz brie cheese, at room temperature
  • 6 oz aged cheddar, sliced into thin wedges
  • 6 oz manchego, sliced into thin wedges
  • 4 oz goat cheese log, sliced into rounds
  • 4 oz prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz soppressata, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz capicola, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup candied pecans
  • 1/4 cup fig jam or apple butter
  • 1 small baguette, sliced into thin rounds
  • 1 box of crackers (water crackers or rosemary sea salt crackers)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start with the bowls. Place small bowls or ramekins on the board first. Fill one with honey, one with fig jam or apple butter, and one with dried cranberries. Spread them out to create natural anchor points.
  2. Add the cheeses. Place the brie wheel whole or halved near the center-left. Fan the aged cheddar wedges in a row along the top edge. Arrange the manchego slices in a staggered line near the bottom right. Place the goat cheese rounds in a small cluster near the brie.
  3. Layer the meats. Fold each slice of prosciutto into loose ribbons and place them in a pile near the brie. Fold the soppressata slices in half and arrange them in a row next to the prosciutto. Do the same with the capicola.
  4. Arrange the fruit. Fan the apple slices in a curved line along the left side of the board, overlapping slightly. Do the same with the pear slices on the right side. Place the halved figs in small clusters near the cheeses. Add the grape clusters in any empty spaces.
  5. Fill in with accompaniments. Sprinkle the candied pecans in small piles around the board. Arrange the baguette slices in a neat row along the bottom edge. Fill the remaining space with crackers, overlapping slightly.
  6. Garnish and serve. Tuck fresh rosemary sprigs here and there for a pop of green. Drizzle a little honey over the brie and goat cheese if desired. Serve at room temperature.

Notes

Prep ingredients up to 2 hours ahead, but arrange board just before serving to keep fruit fresh. Toss sliced apples and pears in lemon juice to prevent browning. Bring cheese to room temperature 30-45 minutes before serving for best flavor.
