  • Green food coloring (optional, for deeper color)
  • 1–2 pounds dry ice (for fog effect)

Instructions

  1. Chill the pineapple juice and lemon-lime soda in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
  2. Prepare the dry ice: wearing gloves, use a hammer to break the block into 1-2 inch chunks. Store in a vented cooler until ready to use.
  3. In a large punch bowl (clear glass or plastic, 2-gallon size), combine the chilled pineapple juice and lemon-lime soda. Stir gently.
  4. Scoop the lime sherbet into the bowl, leaving some clumps floating for a frothy texture. Add a few drops of green food coloring if desired, and stir gently.
  5. Using tongs, carefully drop 5-6 chunks of dry ice into the punch bowl. The fog will start rolling out immediately.
  6. Serve immediately using a ladle into cups. Warn guests not to eat or swallow the dry ice chunks.
