A spooky, delicious Halloween punch that looks like it bubbled up from a swamp but tastes refreshing and balanced. Made with simple ingredients, it’s perfect for parties and guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups pineapple juice (unsweetened)
  • 2 cups lemonade
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 4 cups ginger ale
  • 1 cup blackberry juice or dark grape juice (100% juice, no added sugar)
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • Ice ring or ice cubes
  • Dry ice (optional, for fog effect)
  • Garnish options: plastic spiders, gummy worms, frozen berries, black grapes

Instructions

  1. Make the ice ring (day before or morning of): Fill a bundt pan or ring mold halfway with water. Add frozen berries, black grapes, or food-safe plastic spiders. Freeze until solid, then add more water to fill and freeze completely (6-8 hours).
  2. Combine the juices: In a large pitcher, mix 4 cups pineapple juice, 2 cups lemonade, 1/2 cup fresh lime juice, and 1 cup blackberry or dark grape juice. Stir well. Taste and add simple syrup if desired.
  3. Chill the mixture: Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
  4. Add the ginger ale: Just before serving, pour the chilled juice mixture into a punch bowl. Slowly add 4 cups ginger ale, stirring gently to combine.
  5. Add the ice ring: Carefully remove the ice ring from the mold by running warm water over the outside. Gently slide it into the punch bowl.
  6. Add dry ice (optional): Using tongs, place a small chunk of dry ice (golf ball size) into the punch bowl for fog effect. Never handle with bare hands.
  7. Garnish and serve: Add spooky garnishes. Serve in cups with a ladle.

Notes

Chill the juice mixture thoroughly to prevent dilution. Fresh lime juice is essential for best flavor. Handle dry ice with tongs only; never let guests put it in their cups. For a lower-sugar option, use diet ginger ale and omit simple syrup. The punch can be made ahead (without ginger ale) up to 24 hours.
