This bright, fizzy, and perfectly balanced holiday punch combines tart cranberry, sweet orange, and spicy ginger ale for a crowd-pleasing non-alcoholic drink that comes together in just 10 minutes. It’s the ultimate festive beverage for Christmas parties, New Year’s Eve, or any holiday gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups (960 ml) cranberry juice (100% pure, not cocktail)
  • 2 cups (480 ml) orange juice (fresh-squeezed or good quality store-bought)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) pineapple juice
  • 4 cups (960 ml) ginger ale (preferably with real ginger, like Fever-Tree or Reed’s)
  • 2–3 tablespoons (30–45 ml) pure maple syrup (Grade A dark amber preferred)
  • 1 cup (100 g) fresh cranberries (for garnish)
  • 1–2 navel oranges, thinly sliced into rounds (for garnish)
  • Ice (as needed; large ice block or ice ring recommended)

Instructions

  1. Chill all juices and ginger ale in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
  2. Wash fresh cranberries and pat dry. Thinly slice oranges into 1/4-inch rounds. Set aside.
  3. (Optional) Make an ice ring: the night before or at least 4 hours ahead, arrange orange slices and cranberries in a ring-shaped bundt pan or small round cake pan. Fill halfway with water or cranberry juice and freeze until solid.
  4. In a large punch bowl or pitcher, combine chilled cranberry juice, orange juice, pineapple juice, and maple syrup. Stir until maple syrup is dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness if desired. (Base can be made up to 1 day ahead and refrigerated.)
  5. Just before serving, slowly pour in the chilled ginger ale and stir gently to combine, preserving carbonation.
  6. If using an ice ring, unmold by running the bottom of the pan under warm water for a few seconds, then float it in the punch. If using regular ice cubes, add them now. Scatter fresh cranberries and orange slices over the top.
  7. Serve immediately. Ladle into glasses and enjoy within the first hour for best fizz.

Notes

For best results, use a large ice ring or freeze some cranberry juice into ice cubes to avoid diluting the punch. Add ginger ale just before serving to keep it fizzy. The juice base can be made up to 24 hours ahead. To adjust sweetness, add more maple syrup if too tart, or a squeeze of lemon/lime if too sweet.
