A quick and easy snack featuring thinly sliced apples topped with a smooth peanut butter drizzle and crunchy granola crumble, perfect for a healthy treat any time of day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 medium-sized apples (a mix of Granny Smith and Fuji recommended)
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
  • 1/2 cup granola crumble (honey nut or maple-flavored)
  • 12 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Cinnamon (optional, for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Wash and core the apples, then slice them thinly about 1/8 inch (3 mm) thick.
  2. Place the apple slices in a small bowl and toss with 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice to prevent browning. Set aside for 2 minutes.
  3. Warm 1/2 cup natural peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl for 20-30 seconds until soft and pourable. Stir in 1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup if desired.
  4. Arrange the apple slices in a single layer on a serving platter, overlapping slightly.
  5. Drizzle the warmed peanut butter evenly over the apple slices in thin lines.
  6. Sprinkle 1/2 cup granola crumble evenly over the top. Dust lightly with cinnamon if desired.
  7. Serve immediately for maximum crunch or chill for up to 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use a mix of tart and sweet apples for flavor contrast. Warm peanut butter gently to avoid overheating. Toss apple slices in lemon juice immediately after slicing to prevent browning. Assemble just before serving for best texture. Substitute nut butters or granola for dietary needs.
