A simple, elegant charcuterie board for two with honey, figs, goat cheese, and prosciutto. Perfect for a low-stress date night or a cozy evening in.

Ingredients

  • Fresh figs, 4 to 6, halved
  • Honey, 2 to 3 tablespoons
  • Goat cheese, 4 ounces, softened
  • Prosciutto, 4 to 6 thin slices
  • Fresh mozzarella pearls, 4 ounces
  • Walnuts, 1/2 cup
  • Baguette, 1 small or half a large one, sliced and lightly toasted
  • Sea salt flakes, for finishing
  • Fresh thyme, a few sprigs, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the figs and bread. Halve fresh figs from top to bottom. Slice baguette into 1/2-inch thick rounds and toast lightly until golden but not hard.
  2. Toast the walnuts (optional). Toast walnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes until fragrant. Let cool completely.
  3. Soften the goat cheese. Take goat cheese out of fridge 10 minutes before assembling to come to room temperature.
  4. Arrange the cheeses. Place goat cheese in a small bowl or mound on the board. Scatter mozzarella pearls around it.
  5. Layer the prosciutto. Drape prosciutto slices in loose folds around the cheeses.
  6. Add the figs and nuts. Nestle fig halves among prosciutto and cheese, cut side up. Sprinkle walnuts in gaps.
  7. Drizzle with honey and finish. Drizzle about 2 tablespoons of honey over figs and goat cheese. Sprinkle flaky sea salt over the board. Garnish with fresh thyme sprigs if desired.
  8. Add the bread. Arrange toasted baguette slices along the edge of the board or in a small basket. Serve immediately.

Notes

Pick figs that are just ripe—soft but still holding shape. Do not overdrizzle honey; 2 tablespoons is plenty. Let cheese come to room temperature for best flavor. Prep all ingredients before arranging for a smooth assembly. Store leftovers separately; assembled board does not keep well.
